Teachers and persons attending the Association will be met by the local committee and assigned to comfortable places of lodging. No pains is being spared by the teachers and citizens of Houston to make the session a pleasant one.

Persons desiring to secure places before hand will write to Mr. S. C. Collins.

Teachers are especially requested to contribute to the exhibit department. Send in work of map drawing, scenic pictures, examination papers, penmanship and school work of any form. Send all exhibits to Houston to Mr. W. B. Cogle.

The National Teachers Association meets in Nashville, Tenn., July 16, 1889. All teachers and persons desiring to attend the association can avail themselves of special advantages for traveling by communicating with Pres. Kealing and also Messrs. A. J. Moore and L. C. Anderson. The latter gentlemen have been appointed by the president to negotiate reduced rates over the R. R. to Nashville. If a sufficient number can be secured to warrant special provisions there will be no difficulty in securing rates and procuring accommodations. All who wish to go will send in names to the president or to Mr. A, J. Moore, of Waco.

REDUCED RATES.

Reduced rates to Houston over the principal railroads is in negotiation and teachers attending should find put at their places of purchasing tickets, concerning rates, and get the benefit.
