In the realm of church work the most radical change relates to the enlarged superintendency. Dr. George W. Moore continues his long and highly appreciated services and is recognized by the Association as Senior Superintendent and Dean of the religious interests of the South. Indeed, we would not be able to get along without Dr. Moore. For a number of years, however, younger associates have been working into the field of superintendency in connection with several institutions, or with the evangelistic field. These men are now formally recognized as Superintendents of church work, with districts as follows:

Texas and Oklahoma: Rev. Harold M. Kingsley, Tillotson College, Austin, Texas.

Tillotson College is especially strengthened by the addition to its faculty of Mrs. Gertrude Wylie, for several years a professor in Whitman College, Washington. She takes the chair of Classics.

At Tillotson some strong appointments have also been made in industrial and domestic departments.

The administration building at Tillotson College will also be completed during the fall term, largely through the beneficence of Major Ira H. Evans and other white friends of Texas. Texas is one of the states in which the prosperity and fellowship of the white Congregational churches has been turned to good account by our splendid Negro school at Austin.

We have our troubles but we do not expect to tell about them. In the large things look promising and we thank the Lord and take courage.
