1910 Tillotson College, Texas — A pleasant illustration of our frequent co-operation in Negro education with responsible white citizens of the South is the recent conditional offer of one of the trustees of Tillotson College, Austin, Texas, to give half of the cost of a boys' industrial building. The Association must secure funds for the other half and supply the equipment. It is proposed to erect the building of cement blocks largely by student labor. It will accommodate the following industries: Woodworking, blacksmithing, printing and applied electricity, besides furnishing room for an agricultural laboratory. During the hot months President I. M. Agard has been making a courageous appeal for special funds to meet this gratifying offer, and hopes to return North, after getting the institution started, to complete the task. We bespeak for him a most cordial co-operation on the part of our constituency.
